The Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, also known as TechQuest, plans to reveal a refurbished organization identity in April at its annual awards banquet, President and CEO David Bonsick said.

The organization that represents tech companies and interests in the state has used more than four brand logos and identities for different purposes over the years, and that needs to be standardized and simplified to prevent confusion, Bonsick said.

That includes the tech council's name, he said. For years it's been known as TechQuest, but that was found to confuse some people in the business world, so the organization will likely go back to using a form of "technology council" or "technology association," he said.

The Harrisburg-based organization will hold its 2013 PA Tech Awards on April 9 at the Hershey Lodge in Derry Township.
