National Penn converted 34 KNBT Bank branches in the Lehigh Valley and five Nittany Bank branches in Centre County, the Boyertown-based holding company said.
The name change "will bring National Penn a sense of brand continuity across our regions," Dave Kennedy, National Penn senior executive vice president and chief banking officer, said in a statement.
National Penn rebranded its Lancaster County branches a year ago. They were acquired when the company absorbed HomeTowne Heritage Bank in 2003.
The bank has five branch locations in the county, plus a headquarters that National Penn relocated late last year and expanded into its Lancaster Business Center, 280 Granite Run Drive in Manheim Township.
