Prudential Homesale made the move into Maryland last year through an acquisition.
The new Inner Harbor location is between Harbor East and Fells Point. There will be 16 agents on staff with space for up to 30, according to the company.
Prudential Homesale said it plans to expand its sales staff throughout its 21 offices in Southcentral and Southeastern Pennsylvania. It now has 27 offices in all.
"We have enough confidence in the real estate market to expand our operations throughout our footprint," said Doug Rebert, partner and managing director.
Last year, Prudential Homesale completed 11,571 transactions with real estate valued at $2.14 billion, the company said. The Lancaster County firm closed nearly $1.28 billion in sales volume in 2011.
The midstate firm is the seventh most successful Prudential broker in the country. The Prudential Real Estate Network, which was bought last year by Warren Buffett, has more than 50,000 sales associates in 1,500 offices.
Prudential closed 378,000 transactions in 2012 with more than $106 billion in closed sales.
