PEOPLE: promotions, appointments and hires

The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society named Scott Rogers honorary chairman of its York MS Leadership Class of 2013. He is a certified public accountant and president of Glatfelter Agency in York.

Lancaster County Business Group on Health named Steve Ewing chairman, Eric Athey vice chairman, Timothy Shrom secretary, Doug Price treasurer and Liz Ford immediate past chairwoman. Ewing is the benefits manager of Herr Foods Inc.; Athey is co-chairman of labor and employment with McNees Wallace & Nurick; Shrom is business manager of Solanco School District; Price is chief financial officer of Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster; and Ford is director of benefits and compensation with High Co. LLC. Melissa Biros, Greg Drake, Cheryl Harsh and Robert Rush were named to the board. Biros is a human resources manager with Burnham Holdings Inc.; Drake is a senior manager of purchasing and facilities with Isaac's Famous Grilled Sandwiches; Harsh is a wellness/FMLA coordinator with Kalas Manufacturing Inc.; and Rush is director of human resources with Willow Valley Retirement Communities.
