The Borough of Manheim in Lancaster County is ringing in the holiday season with a weekend of events.

The Folk Art Show will take place both Friday and Saturday and will include the work of a dozen artisans at the Manheim Railroad Station. There also will be glass-blowing demonstrations and hand-blown items by Stiegel Glassworks. Light refreshments will be offered in addition to the Women’s Club of Manheim selling 1-pound trays of cookies.

On Saturday, start the day by having breakfast with Santa at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Proceeds from the breakfast benefit the Manheim Food Pantry and the Youth Ministry at the church. After breakfast, Mrs. Claus will host crafts, cookies and cocoa at the Manheim Community Library.

Later that evening, Manheim Downtown Development Group will celebrate its annual Christmas Tree Lighting with performances by Cricket’s Performing Arts, iStage Performing Arts and Rhythm N Motion. There also will be tuba playing, pony and cart rides, and holiday carols.

On Sunday, The Women’s Club will host its annual Hospitality Tour, which will feature six Manheim-area homes decorated for the holidays.
