In each episode of “Be the Boss,” two employees of a franchise compete in a series of challenges they are told will assess their fitness for a promotion to senior manager. At the end, the runner-up wins the position, while the winner receives the real, secret reward: ownership of a new franchise.
In the Auntie Anne’s episode, managers of stores in Woodburn, Ore., and Boynton Beach, Fla., vie for the prize. The episode will air at 10 p.m. Dec. 16.
“It was a great experience putting the show together with A&E,” Auntie Anne’s president and chief operating officer Bill Dunn said in a statement.
Lancaster-based Auntie Anne’s, founded in 1988, has more than 1,250 locations worldwide. Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group acquired the company in 2010.
Auntie Anne’s has featured in several reality TV shows this year.
Founders Anne and Jonas Beiler appeared on CNBC’s “How I Made My Millions” in July, and Anne Beiler appeared on ABC’s reality show “Secret Millionaire” in August.
