New Jersey-based consumer products firm Church & Dwight Co. Inc. today reported second-quarter net income attributable to the company of $79.3 million, or 56 cents per diluted share, compared with 82.6 million, or 57 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.
The company, with a large facility in York County, said it expects a “difficult and challenging economic environment” through the rest of the year, according to a news release.
Shares of Church & Dwight are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CHD.
North-Carolina-based snack-food maker Snyder’s-Lance Inc. today reported second-quarter net income attributable to the company of $19.3 million, or 28 cents per diluted share, compared with a loss of $3.8 million, or 6 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.
The firm resulted from a merger in late 2010 of North-Carolina-based Lance Inc. and York County-based Snyder’s of Hanover.
Shares of Snyder’s-Lance are traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol LNCE.
UGI Corp. of Valley Forge today reported a net loss attributable to the company for its recently completed third fiscal quarter of 2012 of $6.3 million, or 6 cents per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $7.2 million, or 6 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.
Shares are traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol UGI.
