Bon-Ton, Rite Aid report July sales

The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. has reported comparable-store sales last month were even with results from the previous year's period, and Rite Aid Corp. recorded an increase of 0.5 percent in same-store sales for the month, the companies said.


The Bon-Ton Stores, with corporate offices in York County and Milwaukee, listed dollar figures for its total sales for the four-week period ending July 28 that were down 0.1 percent to about $173.4 million, according to a news release.

Shares are traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol BONT.

Cumberland County-based Rite Aid also released dollar figures for its total drugstore sales, which were down in the four weeks ending July 28 by 0.1 percent to about $1.88 billion, the company’s release stated.

Shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol RAD.
