Lancaster Surgical Group will be renamed The Surgical Group of Lancaster General Health, but its 12 providers and support staff will stay in the LG Health Suburban Outpatient Pavilion at 2104 Harrisburg Pike in East Hempfield Township.

Founded in 1990, the practice provides general, vascular, breast and laparoscopic general surgery.

Its surgeons have provided emergency coverage to Lancaster General Hospital's Level II Trauma Center for more than 20 years, and Lancaster General also noted that they have been involved in leadership roles.

Lancaster General Medical Group comprises more than 100 primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists with more than 20 offices throughout the Lancaster County area.
