The Lancaster-based company announced in January that it was launching a nationwide search for a CEO to guide it “through its ongoing transformation from offering traditional printing, mailing and fulfillment services into a multimedia print and marketing organization.”
“Robert brings not only a knowledge of direct marketing at the highest level, but a strong
background in production and finance,” Dennis A. Getz, vice chairman of Intelligencer’s board of directors, said in a news release.
Mason previously served as vice president of sales and print management at Tidewater Direct LLC, based in Overland Park, Kan. Before that, he was president of the IMS division for Protocol Global Solutions, Kansas City, Mo. He also held various positions with Harte-Hanks, including director of operations (Kansas City, Mo.), director of client services (Glen Burnie, Md.), and senior marketing manager (Baltimore).
A graduate of Elizabethtown College, Mason holds an M.B.A. from Loyola University.
Founded in 1794, Intelligencer Printing offers offset and digital printing, mailing, fulfillment, graphic communications and cross-media services. It has trademarked High-Definition Printing, proprietary Metalessence Process and Intelliscent technology.
The Intelligencer board retained the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) Business Advisory Services Group for strategic advice in the CEO search process.
