Washington, D.C.-based Credit Union House LLC named Diana Roberts to its 2012 Hall of Leaders, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to credit unions and who have made a significant impact on the credit union movement at the local, state, or national level. Roberts is president and CEO of Hershey Federal Credit Union. She has been on the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s board of directors since 1992 in a number of leadership roles, including chairman. She also has been on the Credit Union National Association board and a number of committees, most recently as vice chairwoman of the cooperative alliances committee.
Lock Haven University named Virginia Roth to the inaugural class of its Business Hall of Fame, which will honor alumni who have distinguished themselves in business and in service to LHU and their local community. Roth is president of the Partnership of Packer, Oesterling and Smith in Harrisburg. She has held positions on the Lock Haven University Foundation Board, the Council of Trustees, the Women’s Scholar Athlete Initiative and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education performance funding committee. Locally, she is active with the Rotary and the Women’s Leadership Network of the United Way of the Capital Region.
The U.S. Green Building Council certified the Midd-West School District High School in Snyder County as LEED Gold. The sustainable design components of the project could save approximately $3.5 million in utility costs over the 30-year lifespan of the building. K&W Engineers and Consultants of Swatara Township was the project engineer; Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates of Upper Allen Township was the project architect.
