Are you a professional who likes to eat?

Who doesn't, right?

Enter social networking startup GetLunched.com.

Although only available in the U.K. at the moment, creators are looking to "be coming to you very soon," according to the project's website.

Here's how it works:

Sign up, send lunch invitations to people with whom you want to connect. You can choose one of three options: "I'm Buying," "You're Buying" or "50/50." You also can include LinkedIn connections.

"Ever wanted some advice, or a super valuable business connection? Maybe you want to get your foot in the door, help with your big idea or just meet up with some new and interesting people?" GetLunched's website asks. "There are thousands of connections and possibilities all around us, all we need is a reason to meet up ... and lunch is the perfect opportunity."

Matt Bandy, co-founder of GetLunched.com, told Mashable people like to help others.

"But, it's not often easy to. There has to be a reason," he said. "To buy someone lunch is a nice value exchange — it could be as long or short as you like."

What do you think about GetLunched.com's MO?
