It will be the Richmond, Va.-based company's third location in Central Pennsylvania. It opened a location April 5 in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, and on May 26 in Springettsbury Township, York County.
"As the Central Pennsylvania region continues to grow and expand, it creates a need for additional health delivery sites," said David Clark, community relations coordinator. "We plan to grow to meet that demand."
The company has experienced "slow controlled quality growth," since it began 30 years ago, Clark said.
It now has 36 health care centers throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and continues to develop locations in all three states, Clark said.
The Mechanicsburg staff includes physicians certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties, nurses, physician's assistants and medical assistants, Clark said.
The new center at 107 S. Sporting Hill Road offers walk-in availability every day of the year, with hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Medical care offered will include on-site lab draws for routine needs, prescription services, x-rays, occupational health treatment and primary care for patients who do not have a primary care physician.
