Rite Aid opens branch in York County

By Tim Stuhldreher

Rite Aid Corp. this morning opened a 14,000-square-foot branch east of York.

Company and government officials held a ribbon-cutting at the store at 3300 E. Market St. in Springettsbury Township. Built in Rite Aid’s “Customer World” format, the location includes a drive-through pharmacy window, a GNC vitamin department and expanded health services, including vaccinations.

Based in Cumberland County, Rite Aid is the nation’s third-largest drugstore chain, with 4,700 stores. Its shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol RAD.
