By Eric Veronikis The Colonial Country Club in Lower Paxton Township will go
up for sheriff's sale July 9, said Mary Jane Snyder, assistant chief deputy for
the Dauphin County Sheriff's Department.
The club owner, listed as The Colonial Country Club of
Harrisburg Pennsylvania, defaulted on a $3 million mortgage with M&T Bank,
Snyder said. The sheriff's office moved forward with sale proceedings May 7.
The club continues to be in default with Lower Paxton
Township-based Triple Crown Corp., which bought the mortgage from the bank,
said Mark DiSanto, chief executive officer of the property. The actual debt the
club owes on the property is more than $7 million, he said. Disanto and his
brother John previously said in a statement they anticipate owning the property
by July 7, two days before the sheriff's sale.
The sale starts at 10 a.m. in the Dauphin
County Administration
Building in Harrisburg. The club consists of a little
more than 200 acres, Snyder said. The bidding will start at the sheriff's cost
of advertising the sale, which is about $1,500, she said. The club will be the
206th property of 269 up for sale July 9.
The Harrisburg Mall will go up as the 107th property in the
sale the same day, Snyder said.
