Donegal Group Inc. reported second-quarter net income of $1.7 million, or 7 cents per share of Class A common stock. That’s compared with earnings of $4.4 million, or 18 cents per share of Class A common stock, in the year-ago quarter.
Analysts had estimated earnings per share of Class A common stock of 37 cents, according to Yahoo Finance.
The East Donegal Township insurer trades its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbols DGICA and DGICB.
Metro Bancorp Inc. reported second-quarter net income of $360,000, or 2 cents per common share. That’s compared with a net loss of $1.4 million, or 21 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
