A Cumberland County printing and direct-mail marketing firm plans to raise $3.5 million and use the money to launch a franchise.

CMI PrintGraphix Inc. of Monroe Township today said its affiliate, CMI ActionFastPrint Inc., has contracted with Sharp Capital Partners Inc. to assist with a $1 million private placement and a $2.5 million public offering. Princeton Corporate Solutions LLC will provide additional support, according to CMI.

In addition to in-house services, ActionFastPrint franchisees will be able to fulfill digital, offset, bindery and direct-mail orders through CMI PrintGraphix’s main production facility, CMI PrintGraphix president and CEO Chuck Rothstein said.

“We give the local franchise the ability to do a lot more business,” he said.

The private placement is to begin next week and will take 60 days, Rothstein said. The company will file for the initial public offering once the private placement is completed, he said.

Sharp Capital Partners has offices in New York and Houston, while Princeton Corporate Solutions is based in Doylestown.
