It’s here again, the second annual Plein Air (painting outdoors) Camp Hill Competition and Arts Festival! The Camp Hill Economic Development Group (CHEDG) would like to thank all the artists and attendees who made last year’s event such a success. It is because of that success that we are planning for year two scheduled for June 5 through June 10, 2012.
This six-day event will showcase the Borough of Camp Hill and the surrounding west shore communities to national, regional, and local artists, tourists and art connoisseurs. The event week will be full of a variety of activities ranging from artists painting “live”, artist’s workshops, various music groups performing “Music in the Park” throughout the week, and a new addition to this year’s event is “Theatre in the Park” featuring the Gamut Theatre Group performing Thursday evening at 7pm. One of the events high-lights will include a 2 hour Quick Draw competition for adults and children where participants will be painting in specifically defined boundaries within the Borough of Camp Hill. A Collector’s Preview Party and awards ceremony open to ticket holders will be hosted by CHEDG and is scheduled for Friday evening, June 8.
